the machine of narratives

a poignant picture that brings up social issues haunting american people today, namely racism, overconsumption, individualism, and death penalty. the story is set in the south, my guess is either florida or texas, about a correction officer who accidentally fell in love with a black woman whose cop-killer husband was executed by the man. although the story is full of despair, the main message it tries to deliver is that love is what man and woman truely need to change their life. halle berry got her oscar for playing exceptionally amazing here.
